Phillippe Chauvin Dit Joyeuse

When Philippe Chauvin, entered the world on the 4th of July, 1707, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, it marked the beginning of a journey intertwined with history. His father, Gilles Jules Chauvin, then 39 years old, and his mother, Angelique Guyon, aged 23, welcomed him into their lives, bestowing upon him a lineage rich in heritage and promise.

Years later, Philippe embarked on a new chapter of his life, exchanging vows with Marie Anne Danis on the 28th of April, 1734, in the picturesque locale of Kaskaskia, nestled within Randolph, Illinois, United States. Their union flourished, blessed by the arrival of at least three sons and one daughter (Marie Ann ).

Tragically, Philippe’s journey reached its conclusion before the year 1743 dawned, his passing marking a poignant chapter in the annals of Illinois County, Northwest Territory, United States.
